Why does rustoleum hammered metal work on steel but not on aluminum. Applied 6 coats fo spray but no luck? - paint for aluminum trailer
My trailer with steel-aluminum bumpers and tires. The finish is hammered pieces of steel, aluminum, but looks like the color on smooth materials. Follow all instructions on the label and prepare the surface. (Sand, primer, paint), temperature. Pitch and technological support Rustoleum no help. His answer: "They are very good questions, but I do not know the answer." Anyone else with a similar problem?
Thanks

No matter how prepared you think not just color aluminum, since the steel. If audiotechnik Aluminum color, with the huts where the parties are negatively charged, and the image of positive ions, or vice versa, so that the paint, put on his best. There is no way to get the same result at home.
The only suggestion I can give is to use a different image that they are happy to be found. Rustoleum is not just the research that painting on aluminum for the simple reason that it does not rust one unhibitor rust and aluminum. Since the properties of aluminum will not rust, Rustoleum sees no need to test their products in them.
